Chris is the latest physiotherapist to join the team at Witney Physiotherapy Centre in January 2009; bringing with him 12 years of NHS experience and bags of enthusiasm.
Chris qualified in 1996 from the University of Northumbria with BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy. He worked for 3 years in Hull before travelling and working in Southern Africa for 2 years. Returning to the UK in 2002, he moved to Oxford where he also works at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
In 2008 Chris was awarded an MPhil from the University of Birmingham after successfully completing a post-graduate thesis as part of a 2 year research post, investigating chronic low back pain.
Chris has used his time working in the NHS to gain a broad range of experience in assessing and treating acute to chronic conditions. He has a rounded, evidence-based approach to treatment and rehabilitation including manual, exercise and cognitive-based therapy.
Having previously represented Great Britain in athletics, Chris has a keen interest in sports. Although just as competitive, Chris now settles for representing himself in triathlons and mountaineering.
Chris is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
